This Week: Strada, FilmConvert Sale, NVIDIA 5060 & Resolve AI Tips

Got some cool finds for you this week! First up, there’s a new thing called Strada Agents trying to change how we share media remotely (think direct streaming, no uploads!). Also, heads up – FilmConvert has a 30% off sale happening now. We’ll peek at the new NVIDIA graphics cards that just got announced, too. And I dropped some new Resolve in 3 minutes tutorials covering the Chroma Color Warper and useful AI tricks. Check it all out below!
Strada Agents
This popped up at NAB 2025. Imagine accessing media directly from a teammate’s hard drive, anywhere, without waiting for cloud uploads. That’s the idea – remote collaboration skipping the usual file transfers.
How? It streams directly from local drives (SSDs, RAIDs, etc.). Strada calls it like a “Zoom call for your files.” It sends just the frames needed, on the fly, and even adjusts quality based on internet speed to keep playback smooth.
It’s in free open beta now, but only for Apple Silicon Macs (Windows/Linux support planned). Features like commenting and downloads are coming. I’m definitely keeping an eye on this. How it fits real workflows remains to be seen, but I’m eager to see what they cook up.
30% Off Color Tools
This week FilmConvert is having a birthday sale of 30% off.
New NVIDIA Cards
NVIDIA announced their latest graphics cards the RTX 5060 Ti and 5060. Looks like they are offering potentially more power for post production work without completely breaking the bank.
NVIDIA mentioned better AI performance and improved video encoding with these, which could speed things up significantly for editing, color grading, and maybe even in Fusion.
There’s a laptop version too, the RTX 5060 Laptop GPU, which is good news for those needing power on the move. While often marketed to gamers, these upgrades usually benefit creative software too. No firm price yet, but 60-series cards are typically NVIDIA’s mid-range option.
